Two greats to meet
This should be fun: on Thursday, September 14th Bill Simmons will appear as a guest on The Colbert Report. Two of my favorites, in the same room. I imagine Simmons is out in support of the paperback edition of his book. The interview should be interesting. Simmons comes off in the print interviews I've read of him as, how to put this nicely, kind of a dick. He seems whiny and superior and generally not much of a good sport. His writing of course is nothing like that, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Obviously Stephen is going to be over the top and say ridiculous things, we'll see if Simmons is up to the task of matching wits with him. I should mention by the way that despite basically calling Simmons a dick, I did wait in line for nearly two hours to get him to sign a copy of his book and I'm actually a big fan. Its just he really does come off as a dick in some of the interviews I've read with him.
