Well thats a little weird

So I'm reading an interesting piece from the City Paper (found via the Sports Bog) on one of the guy's behind Wizznutzz (one of the best sports blogs in general and certainly the best Wizards blog specifically) about how they came up with Gilbert Arenas' "Agent Zero" nickname. Dave McKenna, the City Paper writer, is giving some background on other Wizard nicknames created by the Wizznutzz when writes this about Juan Dixon, Terps legend and somewhat decent former role player for the Wizards:

After finding out that former guard Juan Dixon, for example, carried his own toilet paper with him on the road, to the Wizznutzz faithful he became “Jaggers,” after a Dickens character who obsessively washes his hands. And owner Abe Pollin was “Mr. Drummond.”

Italics mine. Uh, anyone care to expand on that little tidbit? Juan Dixon carries his own toilet paper with him when he goes on the road? Why, exactly, would one do that? The Wizards, being an NBA team, stay at the finest hotels when they travel, presumably these hotels have quality toilet paper. Is there a particular brand that Juan likes/needs that can only be found in the D.C. metropolitan area? And what about the fact that Juan now plays for the Blazers? Does he ship toilet paper from here out to Portland for his house, not to mention road trips? Or is he alright with Portland toilet paper options? I feel like these are important questions that need to be answered

  1. Perhaps this behavior of Juan D is a little strange, but I think we all like to be comfortable in the bathroom. Also, if I remember correctly from my Geo Safari days, Oregon has a thriving lumber and paper industry. I bet they have great paper products of all varieties out there, so I doubt he has it shipped in from DC.
