Its the return of the mack (Updated)

Looks like TK Stackmoney (a.k.a Tony Kornheiser) will in fact be returning to the airwaves, though instead of Sportstalk 980 it'll be on the WaPo's own station (as speculated about previously here). The new show starts February 20th and is from 8:30 to 10:30 with a full repeat of the show from 10:30-12:30 (an aside: only someone of TK's stature could pull off doing a four hour show by simply doing two hours live and then repeating those SAME two hours for the second half. And yeah I'll be listening to all four hours.).

I would assume the broadcast will be streamed over the internets so I can listen in at work, which is great, but some worrisome questions arise from the fact that the radio landscape has changed a bit since TK left last year. For instance, though I strongly dislike him, will Andy Polley be joining the show? It wouldn't be the same without him. Also several of the background people, like Nigel I believe, are currently on the John Riggins Show on Triple X Radio. Who will be on the show with Tony, thats what I want to know. Great to have him back though.

By the by for any and all coverage of all things Tony on the radio-related my go to stop is This Website Stinks.

UPDATE: Jim Williams' column in the Examiner has a few interesting tidbits. One is that Andy Polley will not be joining Tony on the new show. (via DCRTV.com)

  1. TK is still looking to fill his in studio crew? The cowboy boot commercials are a little slow these days. I can’t believe he hasn’t asked me yet. I am talented.
