I have seen crazy and you, lady, are crazy

The big/interesting news of the day I guess is the loco astronaut lady who got herself arrested on attempted kidnapping and murder charges. Apparently she was in some sort of love triangle and, clearly, didn't handle the situation very well.  Whatever, blah blah blah, slow news day I guess (uh, isn't there, like, totally still a war going on?) but something about this story did strike me as odd (originally pointed out by Cindy Boren at Redskins Insider). To the CNN.com report!

Nowak wore a diaper during the 14-hour drive so that she wouldn't have to stop for bathroom breaks, the report said. Astronauts wear what NASA calls maximum-absorbency garments to collect their waste during space travel.

Words fail me but I'll give it a shot. First let me say that I've had some experience with long drives having made the trek from D.C. to Orlando many times (record time 10 hours, 34 minutes, avg. speed 85 mph) so I'm a bit of an expert on long drives. My general routine is that I only go to the bathroom when I have to get gas as that cuts down on wasted time. Generally this means stopped 3 to 4 times a trip, and this is a shorter trip then that lunatic took.

My point being that Nowak had to have stopped for gas at least a couple of times on her way, giving her the chance to get out of her car and go to the bathroom AND AVOID WEARING A DIAPER. Under no circumstances is it cool or acceptable to wear a diaper (with the obvious caveats being if you are incontinent or, you know, a baby). Yet this lady was crazy enough to chill out in her car, wearing her Huggies, and casually relieve herself whenever the need arose. You know what? I'm going to go back to my orginal "words escape me" cus I got nothing left.
