Yesterday was National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day and you can be sure I indulged with a tasty sandwich featuring Wonder Bread, Jiff Crunchy Peanut Butter and Smackers Strawberry jelly. My mom when I was little made me eat peanut butter and jelly sandwichs everyday for a whole year; thats all she made me for lunch, so for a while I had to stop eating them but now I eat them all the time. I probably average 4 a week. Nothing better.

Actually, there just might be one thing better. Via Kottke we get the story of Elvis flying all the way to Denver for a Fool's Gold Loaf. Whats a Fool's Gold Loaf you say? Why its a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (note that I always spell it out, I hate when people say PBJ) consisting of:

o 2 T margarine
o 1 loaf Italian white bread
o 1 lb / 450 g bacon slices
o 1 jar of smooth peanut butter
o 1 jar of grape jelly

And apparently Elvis ate one of these all by himself, guess that explains his weight gain. Its intended to serve 8-10 people or one overweight rock star.

Also, I go back and forth as to whether or not I enjoy or can't stand Andrew Sullivan but the fact that he doesn't like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a huge negative in my book.
