Gov. Richardson for NM Senate?
With the news yesterday that Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) is retiring there has been speculation about Gov. Bill Richardson dropping his Presidential bid to run for the open seat. This seems like one of those things where it makes too much sense not to happen. Gov. Richardson must surely realize that he isn’t going to be the Democratic nominee, he hasn’t even broken through to the first tier of candidates. Perhaps he’s holding out for VP but he should really consider running for the Senate.
