O’Reilly doesn’t want to “lynch” Michelle Obama

Bill O’Reilly, yesterday on his radio show:

And I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels — that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever — then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.

I think we can all applaud Mr. O’Reilly for his restraint in not wanting to go on a “lynching party”. The racist nature of this statement should be fairly obvious to pretty much everyone, it’ll be interesting to see if O’Reilly comes under the same fire that. Kelly Tilghman did for using the word “lynch” while referring to Tiger Woods. My guess is not because we all know conservatives can say anything they want and never get punished for it. Must be nice.

Also, slight side note, but how dumb is Howard Fineman? I suffered through him talking about Cindy McCain being a “force to reckon with” last night on MSNBC. Seriously Fineman? You think Cindy McCain is going to have any impact at all on this election? What a joke.

  1. Bill is a clown and some others on the far right are just as bad. It just bothers me so much that race is such an issue in the current presidential race. Another writer over on Highbrid Nation wrote a piece about how very recently Repulicans have been surveying college students to see how far they could push the racial stereotype language before people would say its too much. How crazy is that?! It’d be nice if we could judge these candidates on their leadership skills and nothing else. I know, thats not gonna happen.
