Bob Woodward Only Post Reporter Not Covering White House Crashers
Dave Weigel points out that the Post’s big in-depth look at the couple who crashed the state dinner at the White House the other night seems to have involved a lot of Post staffers. The articles byline is Neely Tucker and Amy Argetsinger and at the bottom of piece there’s this:
Staff writers Cindy Boren, Michael Cotterman, Wil Haygood, James Hohmann, David Montgomery, Dan Morse and Ian Shapira, and staff researchers Meg Smith and Julie Tate contributed to this report.
That’s 11 reporters or researchers who worked on this story. I don’t pretend to be an expert on such things but that seems like a whole lot. And its not like they were working on exposing illegal wiretapping or anything, this is just a profile of celebrity-seeking socialites. So to recap, this once great paper has the worst op-ed section in America, is apparently trying to out-TMZ TMZ and also now has little caricatures of reporters by their articles. Go journalism!
