Is Kevin Drum’s Political Animal the best political blog around? This guy says so, I can’t disagree, especially now that I’ve got my full content feed to enjoy.

The New Republic recently launched a new blot “The Stump” written by Michael Crowley and Noam Scheiber that will follow the Presidential campaign.
How is Red State (the conservative “response” to DailyKos) handling Ron Paul supporters? Not well, they’ve all been banned. (via Memorandum)
Finally, finally Kevin Drum makes the move to full content RSS feeds (via Brian Beutler). Its about time. Actually, according to Kevin, they’ve offered a full feed the whole time, just know one knew about it/could find it. Who knew?
I am of the belief that everyone should provide full content feeds. Despite being a big fan, I’ve only on occasion read Kevin because I’m not inclined (or too lazy) to follow the partial feed out of Reader. The content is great, the presentation was the problem. Now that I’m getting a full feed Kevin goes to the top of the list of people I’ll be reading every day. Next up should be Josh Marshall. Its time to help your readers out Josh.
Also, good to see Kevin trying and liking Google Reader. Welcome to the club friend.
Following up on yesterday’s post about the end of TimesSelect, Paul Krugman is entering the blogosphere. Not sure how this will turn out but I like the idea. I can tell you from the outset that I hate the partial content RSS feed. The Times needs to give that the boot as well.
Those of you who have been paying attention will have no doubt noticed that in the past many, many of the things I have posted have originally been found by one Jason Kottke. Well a couple months ago Jason went on paternity leave and, for me and many others, that was very bad (though awesome for his family I’m sure). Well now Jason is back and that can only mean that the quality around here will surely pick up. So yay for everyone!
This is an interesting bit of personal news: Apparently Kos, founder of liberal blog juggernaut Daily Kos, loves ferrets. Who knew?
I am not a cat or dog person. I am a ferret person. And I still mourn the loss of my two ferrets six years ago (as I mourn for this diarists lost little one as well). Real children (and California law) have prevented me from adopting new ones. But there isn’t a better pet in the world.
Probably means Kos won’t be voting for Rudy Giuliani any time soon.
Boing Boing (the most popular blog on the tubes) has launched a redesign. New look, plus the return of comments and also a new blog on personal gadgets. Interesting.
Because I saw no real reason not to I’ve signed up to be a part of Blog Action Day. What’s that entail?
On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future.
As of the moment there are 2,975 other blogs participating, which I suppose is fairly good. Here’s a video the organizers of this put together:
I must say I like Pete at Mashable’s snarky post on this, in particular the title “Hippy Bloggers of the World Unite”. Sounds about right.
