Simmons sees the Wiz winning their division and says people are underestimating them. Not me Bill, I've been on the bandwagon the whole time. He does have them falling to Chicago in the first round though, which is dumb, but I forgive him anyway. In Gilbert I Trust. You heard it here first, Wizards win the East and I'll be sitting in section 100 watching it happen, sucka.
Related note, I'm giving serious thought to launching a new Wizards-related web project that hopefully I'll stick with longer then the semi-retired Sports Note (yes, yes I know Jordan, my bad on that).
Good news for sports fans in general and baseball fans specifically: Peter Gammons is back at work. Mr. Gammons, recovering for the past three months from a brain aneurysm, will appear on Wednesday's Baseball Tonight and has a new column up on ESPN.com. ESPN.com was kind enough to take off the Insider restrictions so everyone can enjoy it. It's great to have Mr. Gammons, for my money the best baseball writer in the world, back. Here's the column, do read it, it's a good one.
