Jimmy Kimmel’s F’n Ben Affleck

Top be fair to both side’s I’m morally obligated to play Jimmy Kimmel’s response to his girlfriend Sarah Silverman’s video concerning Matt Damon. Though its not as funny as Sarah’s, Kimmel’s certainly did bring out the star power.

Jimmy Kimmel is making a video in retaliation for the one his girlfriend Sarah Silverman made with Matt Damon. Kimmel’s song is called “I’m [bleep]ing Ben Affleck”, set to the theme of “We Are the World,” and is rumored to star Affleck, Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Harrison Ford, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz.

Might be the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. Some NSFW language but well worth it.

Late night

Letterman

My usual TV viewing schedule is to watch The Daily Show at 11, Colbert Report at 11:30 and, if I missed it at 8, Countdown with Keith Olbermann at midnight. With the writer’s strike I’ve mostly been passing on late night TV, other then ESPN and various re-runs. Thats sort of a long-winded way of saying that normally I don’t watch the network talk shows but last night I made sure to tune in to Late Night with David Letterman.

Last night was the night that the late night shows came back but only Letterman (and Colin Ferguson’s show, which I’ve never seen nor met anyone who’s ever seen it) came back with Writer’s Guild approval. I know its not really the Leno, O’Brien or Kimmel’s fault but screw them for crossing the picket lines. Saying this is nice:

“The writers are correct, by the way. I’m a writer … I’m on the side of the writers,” Leno said.

“I want to make this clear. I support their cause,” O’Brien said. “These are very talented, very creative people who work extremely hard. I believe what they’re asking for is fair.”

but actions speak louder then words fellas. I hope Letterman kicks their asses in the ratings. And, it should be said, I thought Letterman’s show last night was pretty damn good. The Top Ten list presented by striking writers was a great idea, even if the jokes were some what lame.

Also, big props to Letterman’s returned writers who are donating a portion of their salaries to the strike fund. I’ve always leaned towards Letterman over Leno and now I’m glad I did. Oh, and finally, The Daily Show and Colbert Report come back Monday, but don’t worry, they both struck deals with the WGA like Letterman did, so its still Leno/O’Brien/Kimmel at the bottom of the barrel.

Final Scorecard: Leno, Conan, Kimmel = d-bags. Stewart, Letterman = good guys.
