Charlie Rose had to choose between his face and his Macbook Air. He chose the computer.

Two reasons not to get a Macbook Air

1. The good folks at the TSA (please don’t put me on a watch list) might not believe your Air is actually a computer and the ensuing debate might cause you to miss your flight.

2. Its so thin and light that you could accidently throw it out with the newspapers, even if you are a tech writer for a national magazine.

I think I still want one.

Today Steve Jobs at his annual keynote speech at Macworld in San Fran introduced the MacBook Air, the world’s thinnest laptop. Thing is less then an inch thick and weighs only 3 pounds. Sick.

Some drawbacks though. Its sealed up like an iPod, which sucks because like the iPod, if your battery fails you have to handover your computer to get it fixed. Also, its really expensive, $1799. As Paul Stamatiou said via Twitter: “MacBook Air: The only thing we didn’t shrink was the price.”

Still. I want one.
